Siyo nigad! Our next book club will meet Saturday, June 27 from 11am-1pm at the LCC Longhouse, where we'll discuss Kelly Jo Ford's CROOKED HALLELUJAH. An intergenerational story of a family of proud, stubborn, Cherokee women who sacrifice for those they love, amid larger forces of history, religion, class, and culture, and the powerful bonds between mothers and daughters.
You can find the book at multiple online booksellers, including Birchbark Books (Native owned), Black Walnut Books (Native owned), ABEBooks, and Powell's. We are also excited that Willamette Tsalagi member and recently minted PhD Candidate Madalynn Madigar will be facilitating the discussion! Wado Madalynn!
